cherry blossoms

I'm definitely going through withdrawal.  I haven't been home to Bethesda/DC since early January and it's killing me.  To make things worse?  I keep hearing about the cherry blossoms.  Apparently they're in full bloom right now.  Despite my horrendous allergies to tree, grass and weed pollen, I love spring.  New York with all of its concrete just doesn't get the same spring as DC does.  Especially when your view out the window is of a brick wall.

So when I saw this picture taken by my brother of the courtyard of the chapel where fiance and I are getting married, my heart sunk a few more levels.

Happy Spring!

(dear cherry blossoms,
please stay around until Easter!
I beg of you.

  1. Hello! I found your blog while searching for wedding sites in DC. That chapel courtyard looks beautiful! May I ask where it is? My fiance and I are from MI but love DC and are trying to find a place that is suitable for a quick yet gorgeous ceremony. Congrats on your upcoming nuptials as well1

  2. We're getting married at Georgetown University's chapel. It's only open to alumni and faculty's children. There are a lot of beautiful churches in DC, so I would just search depending on your religion.

  3. Cool, thank you!
