A few weeks back I baked in our apartment. I used my wonderful fancy toaster oven. I found an image on pinterest for chocolate chip cookies with oreos inside. So delish! Our doorman enjoyed them. I'm usually a scratch baker...well make the almost 99% always a scratch baker. But I wasn't feeling like busting out all of the stops in the small kitchen, so I went out and purchased premade cookie dough. Groceries are so expensive here and it's less to buy oreos and cookie dough than flour, sugar, butter, cho.chips, baking powder....you get the idea.
Then I decided it was taking too much cookie dough to cover the oreos, so I made an oreo blondie tray. I lined the tray with oreos and smushed soft cookie dough in between and ontop of the oreos. It baked and was semi-delish. I tasted a bit store bought, but I guess that's what you get when you use store bought dough.
Of course I forgot to take pictures of the final product, so you'll have to imagine how amazing it was. We took it to fiance's family when we went to CT to play golf with them. So easy! Let me know if you ever give it a try. It's definitely not in the wedding diet.
