living room

So I came down with a summer cold this past weekend.  I don't know if it's because I'm back in the hospital when I haven't been in awhile or if it's all the NYC subway riding I've been doing.  I carry hand sanitizer, but I still got hit!  I spent all of Sunday on the couch.  Being the luckiest girl in the whole world, I had a fiance that went out and got me soup and echinacea.  Apparently he thinks I need to be taking massive amounts of this wonder drug.  So I am.   Anyway I slept, watched TV, and completely ignored my to-do list.

So now that I can think straight without a sledgehammer in my sinuses, I have some pictures to share.  As promised, here is our living room.  The couch is a little too big for the space, but c'est la vie.  It's quite comfortable, great for lounging, and has already had a couple of house guests.

It's a tight squeeze between the couch and "kitchen" but at least it will prevent us from getting too fat.
(do you see how happy my clover plant is?!)

I recently removed the tray from the CB2 coffee table to clean things up a bit.

The chest below came up from VA with me because I over estimated the size of our apt.
I found it in my grandmother's attic. It once held my dad's childhood toy train set
....and it will be going back to Bethesda with the next visitor.

sooo.....what do you think?  I can't say I don't wish we had a bit more space, but I am enjoying NYC!
