online mags

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  It's a gloomy day here in Arlington.   I'm in the middle of flip flopping back from a few night shifts (it was a wonderful weekend for me spent at the hospital) during my scheduled time on day shift and am a little wonky on the sleep I've been getting.  So it's a perfect day to open the windows, feel the cool breeze, catch up on some of my DVR, read Emma on my kindle, and share with you some of the online mags I read.

This is a new trend that seems to be popping up all over the place:  online magazines.  It's great!  Most of them come out once every month or two, are free of charge, and you can read conveniently on your computer.  This definitely helps the environment.  Plus, you all remember how much I love magazines.

Some of my favorites are Rue, Lonny, Matchbook, High Gloss, and Adore.  I'm excited to check out Trad Home's first issue too!

So I wanted to share with you a few things from the most recent Lonny and Matchbook.   Matchbook is a "field guide to a charmed life,"  so it doesn't encompass as much design and fashion as some of the others.  Each magazine has their niche.  Here are a few of my favorite images and pages from the second issue of Matchbook.

{see the rest after the jump!}

Why is it that I keep seeing so many beautiful New York apartments that are just unreal?!
 This is not the New York that I see in friends' apartments.
 And this is home to a 23 year old!

I found some more New York City apartments that I could just die over in the most recent issue of Lonny.  Check them out below.

 This image below is more like it.  A typical NYC "kitchen"

 I love this because the duvet cover above is the one I'm waiting to go on sale at West Elm to purchase, and the Fallon rug by Jill Rosenwald is in my living room in the color sage.
Although there's a less expensive Louis Ghost Chair here.

Here are some more images from Lonny:

 I adore the mixture of rustic barnwood and this elaborate chandelier!

 Is this not every girl's dream?

I'll come back tomorrow and share some beauts from the other magazines.
