guilty pleasure

So I have to admit I read a lot of blogs.  I mostly read design and crafty blogs, but I also read what I guess I would describe as lifestyle blogs.  Additionally, a few of our kiddos' parents write caringbridge pages or blogs that I'll check in on every now and then to see how they're doing.
Some of my favorite blogs are of course Pagina Portena, Elements of Style, The Neo-Trad, Apartment Therapy, MadeBy Girl, Centsational Girl, and Catalog Living.  I don't know if these lovely ladies know that I read their blogs or if they ever happen to stop here at HSSH, but I have to admit that these superior blogs take so much time.  Just having HSSH I know that it takes time and effort to work on my little blog, so there must be even more for some of these and I thank their creators for continuing the work.  There are about twenty more blogs that I read here and there plus online mags and other sites, but I just wanted to share my appreciation of these.

Here's where I have to admit that my guilty pleasure is Style Me Pretty.  It's a bridal blog but has some of the most beautiful pictures and inspiration.  There's nothing better than pictures of a beautiful couple in love at their chic, country, outdoor, classic, traditional, etc. etc. wedding.  I love seeing weddings on the water.  Maybe it's because I'm a pisces, but there is just something magical about the water that I adore. Side note: I just finished the first part of being certified for open water scuba diving, and apparently the instructor told my brother I'm a natural in the water.

So I read Style Me Pretty basically every day and recently saw this Newport RI marriage of an adorable couple.  I've posted briefly about Newport before, and I will say it again and again....I absolutely love Newport.  I have family up there and would love to have a home there someday.   Could you imagine getting married overlooking the Cliffs of Newport?  You wouldn't need a ring, fiance or husband, let's just have a huge beautiful party of all of our friends!

Now hopefully after seeing these pics and clicking over to the blog, you all will begin to appreciate the beauty out there.  I love the table settings, flowers, and other shots from weddings that inspire design so easily.  Don't these pictures somewhat remind you of the home I just posted on designed by Windsor Smith?
