Christmas in Manhattan

Sorry I haven't been posting much recently, we've been super busy at work plus some overtime and then boyfriend and I were in NYC this past weekend.  Due to my friends being 1. with a bad case of the stomach flu and 2. out of town,  I was unable to make it to the Christmas tree I really wanted to see.

I did, however convince boyfriend to take a walk down 5th ave with me to check out Christmas in Manhattan.  We made it about 5 or 10 blocks before we decided if we didn't leave we would end up giving flat tires to all of the people in front of us and probably get in a fight.  Growing up in DC there is one thing I absolutely can't stand about big cities:  tourists.  Seriously, in what world is it ok to stop dead in the middle of a street for absolutely no reason when there are people behind you?

I didn't see all of the window displays that I wanted to see, but I got a nice glimpse of the Christmas tree in Rockefeller and some of the windows.  With the chaos I didn't take any pictures of this, but here's a fun blurry one from one of the bars we went to.  The picture just screams Manhattan with a Christmas flare.   The city is quite overwhelming.

Also, here's a picture of my outfit.  We went to a Christmas party at a friend's place and I rocked my new sequin skirt (remember when I posted how I wanted one?).  I also wore it again with a black tank.  You can't wear it just anywhere, but with black tights it's quite festive this time of year.   I wonder how long this trend will last.
All in all it was a great weekend in Manhattan.
